Aug 1999 The Ohio State University files a lawsuit in Federal Court claiming "Scarlet & Gray Girls" infringed on their claim to an unregistered trademark because the decades old song "Buckeye Battle Cry" contains the words "Scarlet & Gray" in its lyrics and some of the calendar's photos depicted females in OSU team-issued athletic uniforms. Petrovich allows the university to destroy all copies of the "Scarlet & Gray Girls" Calendar. |

Sept. 1999 Petrovich re-shoots three photos and releases "Campus Girls: Final Edition" as a replacement for his shredded calendar which becomes his last calendar of female students. |

When Sean Petrovich set out to become a successful collegiate entrepreneur, he instead accidentally discovered his talents behind the camera to be an ability to create incredible images of beautiful women and guys. He is credited with being the first to successfully market a calendar featuring OSU students with high quality, and full-color photos statewide and now nationally. Before Sean tried his hand at it, calendars of students had appeared at OSU without any consistency throughout the years. Calendars of OSU guys and girls became a perennial staple in the Ohio calendar market. Sean reports that eager Buckeye fans telephone him each year before the calendars are printed to obtain copies. Every year, he receives more and more inquiries from stores around the nation about carry his calendars. New fans also call to obtain a copy after hearing of these popular calendars from friends. When Playboy photographer David Chan visited OSU to photograph the "Women of the Big Ten" pictorial, he deemed the OSU calendars as being the best
